What you get

Three pieces of equipment that work together, plus the installation. It is all one brand, so there is one warranty and one place for parts.

1

Water softener

Aquasure Harmony, 64,000 grain.

  • Sized for most homes, up to about 4 bathrooms
  • Digital metered valve: it cleans itself only when you have used the water
  • Built-in bypass valve
2

Whole-house pre-filter

Aquasure Fortitude V2, one cartridge that does three jobs.

  • Catches sand, rust and silt
  • Carbon improves taste and odor
  • Protects the softener behind it
3

Kitchen drinking water

Aquasure Premier Advanced, 4-stage reverse osmosis.

  • Its own drinking-water faucet at the kitchen sink
  • Rated at 75 gallons per day, with a 3-gallon storage tank
  • No electricity needed
4

Installation

Done by a licensed plumber.

  • Softener drain with the air gap plumbing code requires
  • Outdoor hose bibs can stay on unsoftened water if you want
  • First fill of softener salt
  • Walkthrough, with the filter schedule left on the unit

Capacities and ratings are the manufacturer's. How a system performs depends on your water.

What can change it: a long run from your main water line to the nearest drain, or equipment that has to sit outside the house. We ask about both before we give you a firm number, so there are no surprises on install day.

How it works

  1. Call or text (832) 501-9093, or send the form. You get Gus, not a call center.
  2. A few quick questions. City water or well, how many bathrooms, where your main water line comes in, and where the nearest drain is.
  3. A firm price and an install date. No in-home sales pitch.
  4. Install day. A licensed plumber puts the system in, fills the salt, and walks you through it.

What it costs to keep running

Any water system needs salt and fresh filters. Here is what to plan for, so you know before you buy.

On a well?

Ranch and rural homes are welcome. Every well is different, so a well job starts with a certified lab water test, and we design the system around the results. Sediment, iron, a sulfur ("rotten egg") smell, hardness and bacteria each call for different equipment, so well systems are quoted after the test.

Questions people ask

Does a water softener need a drain?

Yes. A salt-based softener rinses itself and sends that rinse water to a drain. Plumbing code requires an air gap on that connection, and it is included in the install. The distance from your main water line to the nearest drain is the biggest thing that can change the job, so it is one of the first things we ask about.

How long does the install take?

It is planned as a single visit. We give you the time window once we know where your main water line and nearest drain are.

What does it cost to keep the system running?

Plan on softener salt at roughly $60 to $115 a year, the whole-house pre-filter cartridge at about $40 every six months, and a reverse-osmosis filter set at roughly $100 to $105 when the manufacturer's schedule calls for it.

What is the warranty?

The manufacturer's warranty on the softener is 10 years on the tanks and 5 years on the valve, electronics and resin, with registration. We register it with you at the walkthrough.

Can the equipment go outside the house?

Yes. Equipment installed outdoors needs a weatherproof enclosure, a level base and insulated pipe. That is quoted separately once we know the spot.

Do you work on well water?

Yes. Every well is different, so a well job starts with a certified lab water test, and the system is designed and quoted from the results.

What area do you serve?

Houston and the surrounding area, plus ranch and rural homes on wells by quote. Call or text (832) 501-9093 with your zip code and we will tell you right away.
